TThis morning, depart for San Sebastián along the dramatic Basque coastline. The first stop overlooks the historic hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, an iconic islet set against the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a walk across the stone bridge connecting the islet to the mainland to take in the coastal landscape. The journey continues to a traditional Basque restaurant for lunch. Today features an active and highly rewarding cross-border journey as we transition from Spain to France. Our coastal route takes us first to the elegant resort of Biarritz, where a privately guided walk reveals the city’s imperial architecture and distinct French-Basque character. Afterward, the group will gather at a shared table for a curated seaside lunch with Atlantic views. The only activities requiring a moderate level of physical effort are the visit to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and the walk on the Dune du Pilat, both of which involve uphill sections and stairs or sandy terrain. Guests who prefer not to participate in these walks may simply enjoy the surrounding scenery at a more relaxed pace.
